Who we are

Our Community Outreach And Support Team (COAST) is a partnership between the Frederick County Division of Fire & Rescue Services (DFRS) and the Frederick County Health Department. The program links individuals experiencing a substance use disorder, or addiction, to available treatment and recovery resources within the community. The staff meet people where they are with compassionate and non-judgmental person-centered care. Although encouraged, abstinence is not required and referrals to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) providers and other harm reduction resources can be made. Mason-Dixon Mobile Medicine was recenlty awarded a contract to assist the DFRS Mobile Community Health (MCH) program to bring affirming and compassionate health care directly to those who need it, including MAT, wound care, and primary care.
